ADMINS Office of Technical Support is working to expand the access its customers have to information about our ADMINS Toolkit products.
Our community of developers, maintainers and administrators is relatively small, but it stretches completely around the globe. The economic environment has made travel for face-to-face contact, especially in a group setting such as a Technical Seminar, harder and harder to justify. On the other hand technology has created greater opportunities to “get together” in extremely efficient and productive ways via the internet.
ADMINS OTS has made a commitment to explore the available technologies to see what methods work the best for you, our customers.
Today, we are announcing the ADMINS OTS Blog which debuts with four posts regarding Flash demos and presentations we have developed that describe new and under-development capabilities in ADMINS.
We hope this blog and presentation initiative provide more convenient, expanded access to information and conversation about ADMINS Toolkit products and services.
We are very interested in your feedback, both the on-line conversation we hope to start on the topics of the presentations, and also in a more general way, your ideas and comments on the blog and presentation initiative, and what other methods we should consider. This message is posted on the blog to initiate that general conversation.

Samba and ADMINS
Here is a flash presentation which gives you a look at HP OpenVMS CIFS (which is SAMBA for VMS) as used on OpenVMS Alpha and Itanium systems running ADMINS. You can use this presentation as a planning aid in making ADMINS datafiles on OpenVMS disks available to windows networks and windows users.
